Hi
I'm trying to install my HP PSC 1610 all-in-one printer (scanner and printer) on my Vista build 3508. I've tried several things: - Setup with my user's rights: cannot install, I need Administrator rights. - "Run as Administrator" to launch the setup: setup fails, it doesn't accept the "Run As" (that's what the setup program says). - Safe Mode, so I really am Administrator, then launch the setup: I can't, as in Safe Mode, the screen resolution is 640x480, and the setup requires 800x600, and I cannot set the screen resolution to 800x600 or more in safe mode. - Install the drivers without using the setup: the printer is "installed", but every print try fails. - I've tried adding a reg key seen in microsoft.public.windows.vista.security to unhide the Administrator account to be able to log in with it in "normal mode" (I mean, not the safe mode), but it didn't work, I can't see the Administrator account in the logon screen. So I am still not able to use my printer with Vista. Did someone got the same problem and found a workaround? And it seems there is no Vista drivers for my printer on HP website. Thank you for your help
Christophe

Can't install HP PSC1610 printer
The best you can do right now is to make sure that HP gets information about this to at least get a beta driver in the works with something available by RTM. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
